Abstract (2. Language):
Sometimes it is difficult to diagnose bowel strangulation on time and operate early. Delay at the surgical inter/ere raises the mortality rate. Difficulty of clinical early diagnosis made the surgeons look for the changes of some parameters at blood and peritoneal fluid as an aid. At our experimental study we made bowel strangulation model and determined the values of lactic acid, ammonia and LDH at blood and peritoneal fluid for the period of 24 hours. We also determined the same values at a simple bowel destruction model. According to the results, we found significant changes at the lactic acid values of blood and peritoneal fluid. Since the peritoneal fluid values are more specific we advise the determination of peritoneal lactic acid values as an aid for the early clinical diagnosis of bowel strangulation. /Journal of Turgut Özal Medical Center l<2):83-8~. 1994/
