The purpose of this reseach was to examine the effects of the Communication SkillsTraining on Preschool Teacher Candidates'empathic tendencies and empathic skills.A total of 60 female students (20 students as experimental group, 20 students as control group, 20 students as plecebo group) participated to the study. Empathic Tendency and Empathic Skill(B-form) scales developed by Dökmen (1988).were administered to all of the subjects.In pre-post test measurements, significant differences were not found between empathic tendencies of experimental , control and plecebo groups.More for empathic skills, while significant difference was not found between pre-post test of control and plecebo groups, meaningful difference was found the pre-post test of experimental group.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, iletişim becerileri eğitiminin Ana Okulu Öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin empatik beceri ve empatik eğilimleri üzerindeki etkisini saptamaktır. Denekler, 60 kız öğrenciden oluşmuştur (20 kontrol grubu, 20 deney grubu ve 20 plesebo grubu). Tüm deneklere, Dökmen (1988) tarafından geliştirilen Empatik Beceri (B-formu) ve Empatik Eğilim Ölçekleri verilmiştir. Deney, kontrol ve plesebo gruplarının ilk ve son test ölçümlerinde, empatik eğilimleri arasında anlamlı fark saptanmamıştır. Empatik becerilerinde, kontrol ve plesebo gruplarının ilk ve son test ölçümleri arasında anlamlı fark bulunmazken, deney grubunun ilk ve son test ölçümleri arasında anlamlı fark saptanmıştır.
