Abstract (2. Language):
Mesiodens are often associated with the anomalities found in the maxillary incisor region and develop between the two central incisiors. They essentially have dysmorphic, short, pipe or conic shaped roots, and conic crowns. In this study, mesiodens were analysed in seven different forms, and relevant treatment procedures were determined for each of these forms. For the most pait, they were unerupted, which were also the frequent cause for retintion, inclusion, rotation and diestema of the adjacent teeth. Added to that they had-' an adverse effect on periodontium, which frequently led to aesthetic problems. The study concluded that it would be approprate to remove the mesiodens in the forms 4, 5, 6, 7 immediately and to extract those in the forms 1 ,2,3 when they gave symptoms.
