Abstract (2. Language):
Aim: In the present study, we investigated clinical and histopathological findings, treatment, and course of patients with crescentic glomerulonephritis in our center. Patients and Methods: 35 patients who were diagnosed with crescentic glomerulonephri-tis by renal biopsy were retrospectively investigated. Results: 25 (71.4%) of the patients were male and mean age was 34.43 ± 15.7 years. All of 13 patients had serum creatinine level > 5 mg/dl and 7 of 18 patients who had serum creatinine level < 5 mg/dl did not respond to treatment and developed end stage renal disease (ESRD). The cres-centic glomerular change percentage was significantly higher in patients who did not respond to treatment and developed ESRD than those who respond to treatment (79.04 ± 21.57 vs. 52.21 ± 20.63, p = 0.002). There was a significant positive correlation between the cres-centic glomerular change percentage and serum creatinine level. Conclusion: In crescentic glomerulonephritis, there is a significant correlation between histopathological findings and renal function. In patients who have severe renal failure (serum creatinine level >5 mg/dl) at diagnosis, prognosis of crescentic glomerulonephritis is poor and the development of ESRD is common, although treatment is given.

Amaç:Bu çalışmada merkezimizde takip edilen kresentik glome-rülonefritli hastaların klinik ve histopatolojik bulgularını, tedavilerini ve seyirlerini inceledik. Hastalar ve Yöntem: Böbrek biyopsisi yapılmak suretiyle kresentik glomerülonefrit tanısı konulan 35 hasta retrospektif olarak incelendi. Bulgular: Hastaların 25'i (%71.4) erkekti ve ortalama yaş 34.43 ± 15.7 idi.
