Abstract (2. Language):
In relation to diverse factors exercise may cause different effects to our body. The cause for these factors is the intensity and duration of the exercise. This study aims to examine the relationship between different exercise types with the element nitric oxide which is effective in relieving the veins by expanding them. The study material was composed of 10 sportsmen from Kayak National Team. The effect of maximal burden on NO level was investigated by applying regular medium hard physical activity program on these sportsmen, 30-60 minutes a day, 3 times a week for a month following a speed test (10x20mt) applied and following the exercise program. Blood samples were taken shortly following the test and while resting. One month later blood samples were taken again and the same test was applied. Prior to the program while the serum NO levels at resting was 18.48  1.63U/mL following the speed test was determined to be 14.86  1.51 U/mL. After the program while the serum NO levels at resting was 30.56  2.18 U/mL following the speed test was determined to be 20.22  1.65 U/mL. In accordance with the outcome of the results on maximal load the serum NO level showed a significant statistical decrease, following a four week regular exercise a significant statistical increase, and whereas a significant statistical increase between maximal exercise and workout and a statistical significant interaction between maximal exercise and workout was seen. As a result, by increasing the NO level, regular and medium hard physical activities may result expansion in the veins which helps ease cardiovascular system by increasing the NO level. However, it was observed that excessive exhausting maximal exercise decreased the NO level in the body. This reason can be explained with the excessive use of the NO in the veins due to increasing blood pressure.

Program öncesinde; dinlenmede serum NO düzeyleri 18.48  1.63U/mL iken sürat testi sonrası 14.86  1.51 U/mL tespit edilmiştir. Program sonrasında; dinlenmede serum NO düzeyleri 30.56  2.18 U/mL iken sürat testi sonrası 20.22  1.65 U/mL tespit edilmiştir. Ancak vücudu aşırı yoran maksimal egzersizlerde, NO seviyesinde düşüş görülmüştür. Buna neden olarak, artan kan basıncından dolayı NO’ in damarlarda fazla kullanılmasından kaynaklandığı söylenebilir.
