Abstract (2. Language):
Triiyodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and serum albumin concentrations were measured in 49 children. 23 of them were MCNS (12 in relapse, 11 in remission), 26 of them were MPGN(13 in remission). T3 and T4 were significantly lower and TSH was significantly higher in relapse when compared with remission in both groups. There were no significant differences in serum albumin, T4 and TSH concentrations in remission between the two groups. However, the albumin levels of patients with MCNS showed a positive correlation with T3. There was no correlation with albu¬min and T4, or albumin and TSH. Neither could we find any correlation between T3, T4 and TSH levels with albumin in patients with MPGN.
