The Relation Between the Achievements of the Field Knowledge and Teaching Application Lesson with Teaching Vocational Lesson of Preservice Physical Education Teachers

Abstract (2. Language):
It is unnecessary to argue the importance of the applications made in school, for the success of
teachers. Teaching applications are based on theoretical and practical teaching methods such as field
knowledge, teaching vocational knowledge and general information lessons. The aim of this research
is to investigation of the relations between the achievements of the teaching applications lesson and
the field and teaching vocational lessons achievements of the physical education teaching department
graduates. 96 students from the 2004-2005 spring graduates of physical education teaching
department have been chosen for research sampling. 8 semi-year average achievements of students’
field knowledge and teaching vocational lessons have been calculated and teaching application lesson
achievements relations have been examined. The analysis of data has been made by using SPSS
packet program. The results show that between the achievements of teaching application of students
and the achievements of the field knowledge lessons are in the low level correlation(p<0,01 r=0,29),
and their achievements of teaching application shows low level correlation in the teaching vocational
knowledge lessons (p<0,05 r=0,22).

Öğretmenin başarısında okullardaki uygulamanın önemi tartışılmazdır. Öğretmenlik
uygulamaları; alan bilgisi, öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi ve genel bilgi derslerinde kazanılan bilgileri temel
alan kuramsal ve uygulamalı öğretim tekniklerini içermektedir. Bu araştırmada amaç Beden Eğitimi ve
Spor Yüksekokulu, Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği Bölümü öğrencilerinin, öğretmenlik
uygulaması dersi başarıları ile alan ve öğretmenlik meslek dersleri başarıları arasındaki ilişkiyi
incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Beden Eğitimi ve Spor öğretmenlik programından 2004–2005
Bahar döneminde mezun 96 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Öğrencilerin 8 yarıyıl alan bilgisi ve öğretmenlik
meslek dersleri başarı ortalamaları hesaplanmış ve öğretmenlik uygulaması başarıları ile ilişkilerine
bakılmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS paket programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Çalışma bulguları,
öğretmenlik uygulaması dersi başarı puanlarıyla, alan bilgisi başarı puanlarının düşük seviyede
anlamlı bir ilişki içerisinde olduğunu (p<0,01 r=0,29), yine aynı şekilde öğretmenlik uygulaması dersi
başarı puanlarıyla, öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi başarı puanlarının da düşük seviyede anlamlı bir ilişki
içerisinde olduğunu (p<0,05 r= 0,22) göstermiştir.
