Abstract (2. Language):
The years between 1908 and 1923 are referred to Second Constitutional Period in Turkish
history. Many newspapers and journals were published in the first years of this period. When
the pages of these newspapers and journals are examined the letters sent by the Turks living
outside the Ottoman geography will be seen especially in the journals such as Turk Yurdu,
Sirat-i Mustakim and Sebilurresad. In this article, some of these letters are discussed. The
examined letters indicate that the Ottoman press is read in faraway lands and the
developments in Istanbul are closely followed by the people living there in the subject matter
period. This cultural affinity is quite remarkable in a period that the facilities of the state and
communication are weak.
