Abstract (2. Language):
Ethical leadership is defined as “the demonstration of normatively appropriate conduct through personal actions and interpersonal relationships, and the promotion of such conduct to followers through two way communication, reinforcement, and decision making”. This study attempts to define the theoretical aspects of ethical leadership construct. Thereafter ethical leadership scale developed by De Hoogh and Den Hartog (2008) translated to Turkish as well as its validity and reliability, and the findings have been discussed. Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient for the whole scale computed .965. The factor analyses of the translated scale results shows similar structure as the original scale. As a result, the translated scale demonstrates high reliability and validity and the results have shown that the translated version of the ethical leadership scale is a valid instrument to be used in studies in Turkey.
