Odontomas are considered hum art oma tons malformations of both the odontogenic epitelium and mesenchymal tissue with resultant cnnmel and dentin formation by functional ameloblasts and. odontoblasts. There arc two classifications of the odontoma depending upon the degree of morphogeny drffcranluilion of the tissues. Complex and Compound Odontomas. Odontomas consist about %22 of all of odontogenic Lumors of jaws. The cause of odontoma is still unknown, although local trauma, infection and heredity have been implicated. The purpose of ihis article is to present a compound odontoma which causes impacted lateral incisive and canine, and compare Lhese findings with previous cases.

Odontomalar, odontujenık epi telin ve mczcnşim dokunun m a [formasyonu ile oluşan, fonksiyonel amclo-blastlar ve odontoblast Lir tarafından tarafından yapılan, mine ve denlin dokularını içeren yapılardır. Dokulardaki moriojenik farklılaşmaya gore Kompleks ve Kompouııd olmak ti/ere iki şekilde sınıflandırılırlar, Odontomalar ecnetenn odonfojenik itim lirlerin % 2T sini oluştururlar. Lokal travma* enfeksiyon vc irsiyetin etkili olduğu ifade edilmesine rağmen odontoma™ n sebebi hala lam olarak bilinmemekledir. Bu makalenin amacı, lateral kesici ve Linin dişlerinin gömük kalmasına sebep olan bir compound odontoma vakasını sunmak ve önceki sunulan vakalarla kar^ıl aş Lnm aktır.
