METHODS OF GINGIVAL RETRACTION

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
The impression process for fixed prosthodontics requires careful management of the soft tissues. Due to insufficiency of impression materials in displacing soft tissue, adequate isolation is required in impression process. Also some applications are necessary to expose the finish line temporarily during the impression process. Gingival retraction is an appiication which is realized during the impression process to enlarge the gingival sulcus and dilate the soft tissue temporarily. Thus a precise impression can be achieved. In this review, practicability and reliability of gingival retraction methods are discussed
