Abstract (2. Language):
Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the correlation between dental volumetric tomography with the paranasal sinus radiogram taken by the Waters position in the radiological detection of antral retention cyst. Material and methods: In our study, maxillary sinus examination was performed in 80 patients by using DVT and Waters sinus graph. In DVT scans and Waters sinus graph, the presence of antral retention cyst was explored and diagnostic value of these techniques was compared. Results: Antral retention cyst was found in 16,2% in DVT exam, and 5,6% in Waters sinus exam. In the detection of the retention cyst, it was found statistical significant relation between DVT and Waters findings (X2=9,271; P=0,002). Conclusion: In the radiological detection of the retention cyst, DVT is more reliable technique than Waters sinus graph.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı retansiyon kistinin radyolojik tespitinde dental volümetrik tomografi ile Waters pozisyonund a çekilen paranazal sinüs radyogramı arasındaki uyumu incelemektir.
