Here we review and discuss the suggested treatment modalities for localized juvenile periodontitis in 6 groups. If we sum up these treatment modalities regarding the reports and our clinical experience, periodontal surgery or root surface debridement combined with 2-4 weeks systcmically administered tetracyline appears to be the must reliable. An alternative treatment might be the non surgical treatment combined with a suitable controlled release antibiotic ointment. Since localized juvenile periodontitis is a disease with high frequency of recurrence, patients should be reevaluated in the means of disease activity and retreated if necessary in frequent recalls.

Hu makalede lokalîze jiivenil periodontitis tedavisi İçin günümüze kadar öngörülen tedavileri gözden geçirip 6 ana grupta inceledik. Derlediğimiz bu tedavi yöntemlerini literatür bilgileri ve klinik uygulamalanmı/. ışığında değerlendirdiğimizde bu hastalar için en güvenilir tedavi yönteminin flap veya kok yüzeyi debridmanı ile kombine kullanılan 2-4 haftalık sistemik tetrasiklin kürünün olduğunu görmekteyiz. Bu tedavi şekline alternatif olarak cerrahi olmayan tekniklerle birlikte kontrollü salım özelliği olan uygun bir lokal antibiyotik prcparatı kullanılabilir. Lokalİze jüvenil peri odontitis nüksetme şansı yüksek olan bir hastalık olduğu için bu hastalar tedavi sonrasında belirli aralıklarla hastalık aktivitesi açjsından kontrol edilmeli ve gereken bölgelere yeniden tedavi uygulanmalıdır.
