Abstract (2. Language):
Abnormalities of denlin formation have been classified by Shields el. al. Types have been identified in two groups as being dentinogenesis imperfecta and dentin dysplasia. Dentinogenesis imperfecta type III has heen described as Shell teeth by Rushton in 1954. Shell teeth, which are karacterized by extremely thin dentin and correspondingly large pufp chambers, and short roots, can be seen in both the primary and the secondary dentition and are different from D I type I and D 1 type II, arc a new form of dentinal dysplasia. Radiographieally, the teeth assume n ghost or moth-eaten appearance. In this study, the case of a patient referred to our clinic was reported and the literature was reviewed.
