In this study which analyzes the effect of imports of capital goods on labor productivity, unbalanced panel data of 84 developing countries have been used. The study tests the hypothesis of imports of capital goods, and its positive affects to the workforce productivity. As a result of the analysis it is concluded that imports of capital goods positively affect labor productivity.

Gelişmekte olan ülkelerde sermaye malları ithalatının işgücü verimliliği üzerinde meydana getirdiği etkinin incelendiği bu çalışmada, 84 gelişmekte olan ülkenin 1998- 2009 yılı dengesiz panel verileri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, bir ülkedeki çalışan kesimin verimliliğinin arttırılmasında sermaye malı ithalatının pozitif etkisinin olduğu hipotezini test etmektedir. Yapılan analizle sermaye malı ithalatının işgücü verimliliğini olumlu yönde etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
