Abstract (2. Language):
Discussions about the justification of having religious be-liefs have been continued since the beginning of the history of phi-losophy. The roles of evidence and the will in belief have been dis-cussed under the title of “The Ethics of Belief”. John Locke also addressed to evidentialism in his works. Considering to construct his epistemology and belief on the strictest basis, Locke argued that believing something on insufficient evidence or failing to pro-portion our degree of belief according to the strength of the evi-dence is a transgression against our endowed light.
