The type of variables (qualitative or quantitative) directly affect the construction of the model. Gaining the quantitative data for decision making problems may not be possible. Therefore, only the qualitative data are had to be considered within decision making process. Another problem is to make a decision by considering many interactive factors. Analytic Network Process (ANP) is a technique which finds the most appropriate alternative in the multicriteria decision problems that have many options. In this study, concept mapping is used for determining the relationships among the main components that affect the product in a frozen foods company and ANP structure is created with the help of concept mapping. During the solving process, the importance levels of the criteria are obtained.

Değişkenlerin kalitatif ve kantitatif oluşu karar vericinin geliştireceği modeli doğrudan etkilemektedir. Karar problemlerini çözerken her zaman sayısal verilere ulaşmak mümkün değildir. Dolayısıyla niteliksel veriler de karar alma sürecine girmektedir. Bir diğer güçlük de birden fazla ölçütün etkileşimli olarak göz önünde tutulmasıyla karar alınması durumudur. Analitik Serim Süreci (ASS) bu amaçla geliştirilmiş çok sayıda seçeneğin yer aldığı çok ölçütlü karar problemlerinde en iyi seçeneği bulan bir tekniktir. Bu çalışmada bir dondurulmuş gıda üreticisi firmada ürünü etkileyen ana bileşenlerin arasındaki ilişkileri ortaya koyabilmek amacıyla bilişsel haritalamadan yararlanılmış ve bu harita yardımıyla ASS yapısı oluşturulmuştur. Bu yapıya uygun olarak ta bileşenlerin önem düzeyleri hesaplanmıştır.
