Abstract (2. Language):
Summary An indirect AAS method based on precipitation and using pyridine as a precipitating reagent for the determination of phosphate was developed without need to any solvent extraction procedure in this work. In this method, phosphate was precipated with pyridine as pyridiniumphosphomolybdate after converted to phosphomolibdic acid, the precipate was centrifuged, redissolved and was measured the molybdenium absorbance by AAS. At 313,3 nm, a calibration curve with the working range between 5-30 ug/mL P was prepared by plotting the absorbance signal of molibdenium the corresponding phosphorus concentrations (equvalent to ortophosphate and relation to soluble phosphorus). The satisfactory results were obtained in view of accuracy and precision when the developed method was applied to the beverages with cola drinks and fertilizer samples containing soluble phosphorus.
