Glyphos ve DDVP' nin Allium cepa L.'da Mitoz Bölünme ve Kromozomlar Üzerine Etkisi

The Effects of Glyphos and DDVP on Mitotic Division and Chromosomes in Allium cepa L

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
In this study, the effects of Glyphos and DDVP (2,2-dichlorovinly dimethyl phosphate) (pesticides) were investigated on mitotic phases, mitotic index and chromosomes in Allium cepa L. The roots of Allium cepa were treated with a series of concentrations of Glyphos (10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm, 50 ppm and 60 ppm) and DDVP (0.5 ppm, 1.0 ppm, 1.5 ppm, 2.0 ppm and 2.5 ppm) for 24 h. All concentrations of these chemicals showed an inhibitory effects on cell division in root tips of Allium cepa and caused a decrease in mitotik index values. These compound increased chromosome abnormalities in test material. These abnormalities were Cmitosis, anaphase bridges, stickiness break, laggard chromosome, vacuolated nuclei and multinuclei.
