Abstract (2. Language):
This study covers the theoretical discussions between The Monetarist and New Keynesian Transmission Mechanism. The study identifies the implications of both transmission mechanism for monetary policy. It also tests these two transmission hypothessis for Turkish data in order to provide an emprical contributions for the related issues. The econometric analysis of the study show that Turkish data support the monetarist hypothesis rather than the Keynesian credit driven mechanism of money transmission.
