Abstract (2. Language):
In this study; variables affecting voter choice are separated into two as economic and non-economic within the framework of several academic and scientific studies about voter choice. After the various expansions of economic variables (“retrospective”-“prospective” and “sociotropic”-“egotropic”) are explained within the framework of economic voting, the manner of the voters in Turkey according to this theory is evaluated with the help of various studies. Non-economic variables are classified as political party identity, social divisions, values and socio-demographic variables. Values are defined as approach to current problems, the level of being religious and ethnic identity; whereas, socio-demographic variables are defined as age, sex, and education. And through the help of these variables, the profile of the Turkish voter has been tried to be analyzed.
