Abstract (2. Language): 
The aim of the present paper is to provide readers with a concise discussion about the influence of conservative and religious ideologies over scientific issues and science education in general, and evolutionary research program and evolution education in particular. In order to achieve this goal, first, it was attempted to delineate the present situation. The picture obtained reflected a marked decrease in public acceptance of evolution by natural selection, and depreciation of scientific efforts. Then, the underlying factors of the present picture were elaborated by its historical, philosophical, logical, and scientific dimensions. Finally, the issues involved in science education and teaching evolution in schools were discussed, and possible solutions and alternative models were proposed

Sunulan derleme ile, özellikle, son 20-30 yıldır dünyanın birçok ülkesinde güç kazanan tutucu akımların genelde bilim ve bilim eğitimi, özelde ise, evrimsel araştırma programları ve evrim eğitimi üzerindeki etkilerinin tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek üzere, öncelikle var olan durum resmedilmeye çalışılmış, sonuçta evrimsel yaklaşımlara ilişkin genel kabul düzeyinde azalmanın olduğu ve bilimsel bilginin toplum nazarında değer kaybetmeye başladığı saptanmıştır. Söz konusu tablonun altında yatan olası nedenler, tarihsel, felsefi, mantıksal ve bilimsel bir bakış açısıyla irdelenmiştir. Daha sonra da bilim eğitimindeki sorunlar ve güçlükler üzerinde durulmuş, bunların giderilmesine ilişkin önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
