FINE ARTS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' ATTITUDES TO VIOLIN LESSON

Instrument training is one of the most important phases in music education. And violin training is a branch of
instrument training,which requires attention,patience,plan and regularity, includes a technically long, complex
period of time. At Fine Art High Schools which are formal education institutions, students between the ages of
14 and 18 are also given violin training. The students’ attitudes towards the training would be significant in the
matter of the success of this period. The research was done in the 2013-2014 academic year on 36 students
who still receive violin training at Diyarbakır Fine Arts High School(GSL). For the purpose of determining and
evaluating the students’ attitudes,’’The violin lessons attitude scale’’, which had been prepared in 2006 by
Ministry of Education Directorate (MEB) of Secondary Education,was used. The datas obtained from the
research was analyzed by using the computer program,‘’SPSS for Windows 21.0’’ The information was
evaluated in between 95% of confidence interval,and 5% level of significance. According to the results of the
research, it is determined that the level of the students’ attitude towards violin lessons is quite high (3,714±
0,528).

Çalgı eğitimi müzik eğitiminin en önemli boyutlarından biridir. Keman eğitimi de çalgı eğitiminin dikkat, sabır,
plan ve program gerektiren, teknik açıdan uzun, karmaşık bir süreci kapsayan dalıdır. Örgün bir eğitim kurumu
olan Güzel Sanatlar Liseleri’nde, 14-18 yaş aralığındaki öğrencilere keman eğitimi de verilmektedir. Bu eğitimin
başarıya ulaşabilmesinde öğrencinin derse karşı tutumu önem kazanmaktadır. Araştırma; 2013-2014 eğitimöğretim
yılında Diyarbakır Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi’nde (GSL) keman öğrenimi görmekte olan 36 öğrenci ile
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Öğrenci tutumlarının saptanması ve değerlendirilmesi amacıyla Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı (MEB)
Ortaöğretim Genel Müdürlüğü (2006) tarafından hazırlanan “Keman Dersi Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır.
Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler “SPSS for Windows 21.0” programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen
bulgular %95 güven aralığında, %5 anlamlılık düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen
bulgularda öğrencilerin keman dersine yönelik tutum düzeylerinin yüksek (3,714± 0,528) olduğu saptanmıştır.
