Abstract (2. Language):
This study explores the pre-schoolteachers’ views on Science, Techonology, Society and Environment STSE issues. For this study was participated 50 pre-schoolteachers working pre-school in Rize as voluntary. Data were collected through an adopted “Views on Science–Technology–Society-Environment” instrument. We utilized 20 items comprising four subscales. These subscales and the item numbers belonging to each scale were: (a) science and technology (five items), (b) influence of society/ environment on science/technology (seven items), (c) influence of science/technology on society/environment (six items), (d) nature of scientific knowledge (two items).Analysis revealed that teachers viewed technology as an application of science, and some viewed science as explanatory and an interpretation of nature. They viewed individual value and confidence more important than scientific information and practice in decision making process interested to daily life. Additionally most of the participants agreed that scientific knowledge is subject to change
