Changed programmes and systems have an important place for students, who are firstly introduced science courses in primary school, gaining positive attitudes towards science as well as the instruction. However, many of the researches mostly include the academic achievement and related attitudes of students apart form the effects of programmes on the attitudes of students. The purpose of this research is to find out the effects of the science and technology lesson curriculum and 4+4+4 education system on students' attitudes towards science. In the research, the instrument was developed for measuring the students’ attitudes towards science and technology. The subjects of the research are randomly selected. Finally, it was seen that the science and technology lesson programme and changed education systems were negative effective on students’ attitudes toward science and technology course.

Fen bilimleri ile ilk defa ilkokulda karşılaşan öğrencilerin bu derse karşı olumlu tutum geliştirmesinde verilen eğitim ve öğretimin yanında değişen programların ve bireylerin gelişim sürecinin de önemli bir yeri vardır. Araştırmanın amacı, 2012-2013 öğretim yılında 4+4+4 sistemi doğrultusunda yapılandırılan eğitim sürecine bağlı olarak öğrencilerin fen tutumlarının ilkokuldan ortaokula geçişte hangi yönde değişim gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin fen ve teknoloji dersine yönelik tutumlarını ölçmek için likert tipi bir ölçek çalışmaya uyarlanmıştır. Örneklem grubu tesadüfî olarak belirlenmiştir. Ölçek, 836 öğrenciye iki defa (aynı öğrencilere biri 4. sınıfta, diğeri 5. sınıfta iken) uygulanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler, SPSS 16,0 paket programında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin fen ve teknoloji dersine yönelik tutumlarının bir üst sınıfta olumsuz yönde değişim gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.
