Abstract (2. Language):
The most important etiological factor of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is sun exposure. But also form in areas subjected to chronic inflammation, burn scars, nonionizing radiation, HPV infection and immune deficient. SCC arising from lupus vulgaris (LV) is rare (0.5-1%). The interval from the onset of LV to the occurrence of carcinoma is about 27-28 years. A 78 year old man presented with an extensive ulcer on the right nasolabial sulcus about 30 year period was applied to the hospital. Biopsy from this lesion is diagnosed SCC arising from LV. We aim that the case, rarely seen, was discussed under light of literature.©2004, Fırat Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi
