Abstract (2. Language):
In this article, it was discussed different genres in martyrdom topic and was
given information about people theatre – shebih (mystery) related to Kerbela an event
which has the main place in this topic. The creation and development stages, the
structure and topic of this genre are widely discussed. In addition, it was evaluated the
different ideas of 19th century authors` and Soviet literary men about shebih
(mystery).

Bu makalede sehitler konusunun farklı tarzları ele alınmıs ve Kerbela vak’asıyla
ilgili olan sebih halk tiyatrosunun genel özellikleri açıklanmıstır. Aynı zamanda sebih
halk tiyatrosunun olusumu, konusu ve yapısı hakkında bilgi verilmistir. Buna ek olarak
konuyla ilgili 19. yüzyıl Azerbaycan yazarlarının ve Sovyet arastırmacılarının farklı
fikirleri degerlendirilmistir.
