Pedalling has a privileged place and importantance in the piano education. In this study, first of all,the pedalls of the piano and working of the mechanism of the pedal has been handled. Different educational approaches about determining the time of the beginning of teaching pedal and how frequently pedals must be used have been placed. Then, pedalling techniques in the beginning level has beenexplained with several examples and some suggestions have been presented

Piyano eğitiminde pedal konusu çok ayrıcalıklıbir yer ve öneme sahiptir.Bu çalışmada ilk önce piyanoda pedallar ve pedal mekanizmasının işleyişi ele alınmakta, pedal öğretimine başlama zamanının saptanmasıve pedalların ne ölçüde kullanılması gerektiği hakkında farklıpedagojik yaklaşımlara yer verilmektedir. Daha sonra başlangıç düzeyinde pedal teknikleri çeşitli örneklerle açıklanmakta ve öneriler sunulmaktadır.
