Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this research is to give information about use of video tapes in music education,
adapt it for piano education and show the effect of videotaped lesson performances on students
self evaluation skills. The research was made by relation surveillance model in 2004 -2005
instructional year during seven weeks at Gazi University Music Education Department where 12
students were chosen by random way. Mann Withney U-test was used in order to compare
students and specialists points. At the end of the research, it was determined tha t video tapes
used in piano education in some way increase students self evaluation skills.

Bu araştırma, video kamera kaydına dayalı uygulamaların müzik eğitimindeki kullanımı ile ilgili
bilgi vermek ve bu yöntemi piyano eğitimine uygulayarak öğrencilerin kendi performanslarını
değerlendirmelerine etkisini saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma ilişkisel tarama modeli ile
gerçekleştirilmiş 2004-2005 öğretim yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Müzik Öğretmenliği ABD’da yedi
hafta süre ile, random yöntemiyle seçilmiş toplam 12 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Öğrenci ve
uzman değerlendirmelerinin karşılaştırılmasına ilişkin non-parametrik testlerden Mann-Whitney
U-Testi Testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda video kamera kaydına dayalı uygulamaların
öğrencilerin kendilerini değerlendirme becerilerinde bir ölçüde artış sağladığı saptanmıştır.
