Leiomyosarcomas located on the vena cava inferior are extremely rare tumours. Although radical surgical resection of the tumor is the most important factor on survival, greatly advanced tumors are encountered since the disease may present with delayed symptoms. This situation makes the resection with clear border difficult. Chemotheraphy, radiotheraphy or combined treatment regimens may be performed to the patients after surgery. One of the important issues in the treatment of inferior vena cava leiomyosarcomas is how to reconstruct the inferior vena cava. In this case report, the successful surgical treatment of a case who admitted with the complaints of abdominal pain and nausea and diagnosed to have inferior vena cava leiomyosarcoma is presented.

İnferiyor vena kava yerleşimli leiyomiyosarkomlar son derece nadir karşı- laşılan tümörlerdir. Bu tümörlerde radikal cerrahi rezeksiyon sağkalım üzerine etkili en önemli faktör olmasına karşılık, hastalık geç bulgu verebildiği için önemli oranda ilerlemiş tümörlerle karşılaşılır. Bu da temiz cerrahi sınır ile rezeksiyonu zorlaştırır. Hastalara cerrahi sonrası kemoterapi, radyoterapi veya kombine tedavi yöntemleri uygulanabilir. İnferiyor vena kava leiyomiyosarkomlarının tedavisinde önemli konulardan birisi inferiyor vena kava rekonstrüksiyonunun nasıl yapılacağıdır. Bu olgu sunumunda karın ağrısı ve bulantı şikayetleri ile hastanemize başvuran ve yapılan tetkikler sonucu inferiyor vena kava leiyomiyosarkomu tanısı konulan olgunun başarılı cerrahi tedavisi sunulmuştur.
