Sütten Kesme Yaşı ile Fizyolojik Stres Göstergesi "Harris Çizgileri" Arasındaki İlişkinin Belirlenmesi

Tibia radiograms of 190 girl and 210 boys, a total of 400 materials consisting of infants and children are taken from random patients in Ankara hospitals. The existence and the number of Harris Lines, which indicates the physiological stress, are determined. Weaning (in months) is taken into consideration from health, socioeconomic status and nutritional habits which have significant role on the formation of Harris Lines. A relationship between the Harris Lines and weaning (in months) is analyzed. But in the worked material, a meaningful result in terms of statistical analysis is not established for the weaning period and the Harris Line formation and numbers. When the ratios of Harris Lines with respect to weaning period considered, the maximum values are observed for the children who have weaning periods as 12-18 months (65%) and after 24 months (%69,4). When these data are evaluated with the ages related with the Harris Line formation, it is concluded that the Harris Lines formed during the ages 1-2 can be related with the weaning stress, but this factor cannot be effective on its own.

Ankara ilinde herhangi bir nedenle hastanelere başvuran, 190 kız ve 210 erkek, toplam 400 bebek ve çocuktan oluşan materyalden tibia röntgenleri çekilmiştir. Tibialarda fizyolojik stres göstergesi olarak kabul edilen Harris çizgilerinin (HL) varlığı ve sayısı belirlenmiştir. Harris çizgilerin oluşum sürecinde rol oynayan sağlık, sosyoekonomik düzey, ve beslenme durumu gibi etkenlerden, anne sütünden kesme süresi dikkate alınmıştır. Harris çizgileriyle bireyin sütten kesme yaşı (ay) arasında ilişkili olup olmadığı sınanmıştır. Ancak, örneklemde sütten kesme yaşı ile Harris çizgileri oluşumu ve sayısı arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı sonuçlar elde edilememiştir. Sütten kesme aylarına göre Harris çizgilerinin oranlarına bakıldığında en fazla değerlerin 12-18 ayda (% 65,1) ve 24 aydan sonra (% 69,4) sütten kesilen çocuklarda olduğu görülmüştür. Bu veriler Harris çizgilerinin oluşumuna ilişkin yaşlarla birlikte değerlendirildiğinde, 1-2 yaşlarında oluşan Harris çizgilerine sütten kesme stresinin neden olabileceği belirtilse de tek başına bu faktörün etkili olamayacağı düşünülmektedir.
