Abstract (2. Language): 
The leading condition of professionalism in nursing is surely to understand science and scientific method sufficiently and reflect it to the profession. Research conducted through scientific method in nursing will take nurses from experience based decision making to the conscious of evidence based one, and the nursing that produce its own knowledge will undertake more responsibility for the scientific value and use of the information. Nursing studies carried out in the field of practice will enable nurses to improve their abilities in evaluating their studies critically, and will form the culture of practicing that ground on the scientific knowledge. In this context, the main aim of this article to draw the attention of nurses working in the surrounding where the health services are provided to the importance of science and scientific research process for being a scientific nursing discipline, and to display the main knowledge, understanding and concepts that can contribute to the re-construction of nursing researches under the light of scientific method.

Hemşirelikte profesyonelleşmenin başta gelen koşulu kuşkusuz bilimi ve bilimsel yöntemi yeterince anlamak ve mesleğe yansıtmaktır. Hemşirelikte bilimsel yöntem kullanılarak yapılan araştırmalar gelecekte hemşireleri deneyimlere dayalı kararlardan kanıta dayalı karar verme bilincine taşıyacak ve kendi bilgisini üreten hemşirelik, bilginin bilimsel değeri ve kullanımı konusunda daha fazla sorumluluk alacaktır. Uygulama ortamlarında yapılan hemşirelik araştırmaları, hemşirelerin yaptıkları uygulamaları eleştirel olarak değerlendirme becerilerini geliştirmelerine olanak sağlayacak ve uygulamalarını bilimsel bilgiye dayandırma kültürünü oluşturacaktır. Bu bağlamda, bu makalenin temel amacı, sağlık hizmeti verilen ortamlarda çalışan hemşirelerin bilimsel bir disiplin olma yolunda bilim ve bilimsel araştırma sürecinin önemine dikkatlerinin çekilmesi ve hemşirelik araştırmalarının bilimsel yöntem ışığında yapılandırılmasına katkı sağlayabilecek temel bilgi, anlayış ve kavramların ortaya konulmasıdır.
