Abstract (2. Language):
Content: In research, it was armed for establishing
the awareness of physical education teachers
about the Olympic Games. The content of research
includes the physical education teachers who work
in formal, private primary schools and secondary
schools. The survey which was prepared according
to likert scale was applied to the chosen participants
and the answers of 240 participants’ survey, whose
validity was proved, were evaluated by SPSS program
and the results were brought out. As a result of
the analysis, 90 % of the participants are interested
in the subject of Olympic Games, 64.2 % of them
follow on the developments and publications which
are related with the Olympic Games, 84.4 % of them
are willing to participate in the seminars and conferences,
related to the Olympic Games, 85.9 % of
them want to have a duty on a Project which is related
to the Olympic Games, 96.7 % of them want
the Olympic Games to be held in Turkey, 94.6 % of
them want to take an active duty in Olympic Games
and 89 % of them think that if a duty is given to
the physical education teachers in Olympic Games,
they will be successful in this job. All in all, in the
country which wants to be the host of the Olympic
Games, there is a great need for the individuals whohave necessary knowledge, skill, educated on his/her
field and well developed. This need can be removed by
the duties which are given to the physical education
teachers who are very interested in Olympic Games
and the projects about this subject. Also, the physical
education teachers who have Olympic conscious will
provide the increasing of the success of the Olympic
organization which will be held in our country with the
help of institutions which are interested in this subject.

Araştırmada, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin
Olimpiyat oyunları hakkındaki farkındalığını
tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini
kamu–özel ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim kurumlarında
çalışan beden eğitimi öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır.
Araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen Likert
tipi ölçek seçilen örneklem üzerinde uygulanmış
ve geçerliliği saptanan 240 katılımcının anketindeki
cevaplar SPSS programında değerlendirilip,
sonuçlar ortaya konmuştur. Yapılan analiz sonucunda,
katılımcıların %90’ının Olimpiyatlar konusuna ilgili
oldukları % 64.2’sinin Olimpiyatlar ile ilgili gelişme
ve yayınları takip ettikleri, % 88.4’ünün Olimpiyatlar
ile ilgili seminer ya da konferanslara katılmaya
istekli oldukları, % 85.9’unun Olimpiyatlar ile
ilgili bir projede görev almak istedikleri, % 96.7’sinin
Türkiye’de Olimpiyat oyunlarının gerçekleşmesi,
% 94.6’sının Olimpiyatlarda beden eğitimi öğretmenlerine
etkin görev verilmesi, % 89.6‘sının beden
eğitimi öğretmenlerine Olimpiyatlarda görev verilmesi
halinde başarılı olunacağı konularında olumlu
görüş belirttiği saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak beden
eğitimi öğretmenlerinin Olimpiyatlar konusunda bilvazifegi
sahibi oldukları, Olimpiyat oyunları düzenlemenin
şehir ve ülke yararına olacağını, süreç içerisinde beden
eğitimi öğretmenlerinden yaralanılması gerektiğini
düşündükleri belirlenmiştir.
