Abstract (2. Language):
Definition Theories of Kalam Scholars
The article discusses that whether kâlam scholars had any definition theories
or not and that -if they had- what were the main characteristics of them.
Also it investigates the philosophical bases of them. To discuss that whether
kâlam scholars had any definition theories or not and that -if they had- what
were their major interest in forming such theories gives us an opportunity
for evaluating the definitions of kâlam scholars about kâlamic concepts and
their considerations about these definitions. Also determining these prevent
us from falling into the error of evaluating any definition, which were formulated
according to a specific theory of definition, by relating it to another
theory of definition.

Bu makale kelamcıların bir tanım kuramına sahip olup olmadıklarını, varsa
tanımla ilgili nelere dikkat ettiklerini ve bunun felsefi kökenini tartışmaktadır.
Kelamcıların bir tanım bir tanım kuramı olup olmadığını ve tanımlarda nelere
dikkat ettiklerini tartışmak, onların kelami kavramlar için yaptıkları tanımları
değerlendirmede pratik bir fayda sağlayacaktır. Çünkü bunun öğrenilmesi,
belirli bir kurama bağlı kalarak yapılan tanımların başka bir kurama göre değerlendirilmesi
yanlışlığını önleyecektir.
