Cash Waqfs in Ottoman Empire
This study examines the Ottoman law order and Ebussuud Efendi’s juridical views about the
cash waqfs in Ottoman empire. Firstly it deals with the relation between Qânûn law and
Sharî’a law in the Ottoman law order. Then it analyses Ebussuud Efendi’s juridical views
concerning the disputes on the cash waqfs. Finally it makes an evaluation about the subject
