Prostate biopsy, since giving the histologic diagnosis of prostate cancer, is the most important diagnostic method of the urologists. Though the hemorrhagic complications are well known complications of the procedure, no any treatment-needed complication was reported. In this case report we present macroscopic hematuria and urinary retantion due to prostate biopsy and its treatment. [Journal of Turgut Özal Medical Center 1996;3(4):354-355]

Prostat iğne biyopsisi prostat kanseri tanısında, histolojik tanı verebilen en önemli tanı yöntemidir. Kanama, bilinen en sık komplikasyonu olmasına rağmen tedaviyi gerektiren kanama dahil komplikasyon bildirilmemiştir.
