FIRAT HAVZASINDA SEREBROVASKÜLER HASTALIKLARLA LİPOPROTEİN (A) ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ

The Association Between Cerebrovascular Diseases And Lipoprotein (A) In The Fırat River-Basin

Abstract (2. Language):
Lipoprotein (a) [Lp (a)] is a cholesterol-rich lipoprotein. High plasma levels of Lp (a) have been shown to be associated with cerebrovascular diseases (CVD). Serum Lp (a) levels are closely related to genetic factors. We determined plasma Lp (a) levels in CVD for population in the Fırat River-Basin, and compared them with previous findings of the other studies. Plasma Lp (a) levels were evaluated in CVD and control groups. The mean plasma Lp (a) levels in the CVD group was found approximately two-fold higher than that of the control group (0.19 g/I vs 0.43 g/I). As a result, high serum Lp (a) levels were found to constitute an independent risk factor in CVD. We believe that patients who have a high Lp (a) values must be warned for a probable CVD and other risk factors like smoking, alcohol, diet, etc.
Abstract (Original Language):
Lp (a) kolesterolden zengin bir lipoproteindir. Yüksek Lp (a) seviyelerinin serebro vasküler hastalıklarla (SVH) ilişkisi gösterilmiştin Serum Lp (a) düzeyleri oldukça sıkı bir genetik kontrol altındadır. Serum Lp (a) düzeylerinin, SVH grubunda tek başına anlamlı bir ateroskleroz risk parametresi oluşturabileceğini belirledik. Yüksek Lp (a) değerlerine sahip bireylerin belirlenerek diğer risk faktörleri açısından (sigara, alkol, diyet vs.) uyarılmaları gerektiğine inanıyoruz.
