Abstract (2. Language):
Objectives: In this study, we investigated the infectious agents and foci in febrile neutropenic patients in Adult Hematology Clinic of Turgut Ozal Medical Center. Material and methods: Seventy-three febrile neutropenic episodes in 41 patients were evaluated. Results: In 42 febrile neutropenic episodes (58.3%) the microorganism was identified. The infectious foci were urine (n=24), blood (n=13), throat (n=2), wound area (n=l), tip of the catheter (n=l) and sputum (n=l). Conclusion: The determined infectious agents were E co/i (n=17), Coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (n=10), S. aureus (n=6), S. pneumoniae (n=3), K. pneumoniae (n=2), C. albicans (n=2) and P. aeruginosa (n=l).

Sonuç: İzole edilen mikroorganizmalardan 17si E co/i, 10'u Koagülaz-negatif Staphylococcus, altısı S. aureus, üçü S. pneumoniae, ikisi K. pneumoniae, ikisi Candida albicans, biri P. aeruginosa idi.
