Abstract (2. Language): 
The article tries to contribute to the literature on the absorptive capacity. More precisely, some limitations that have been found in the existing literature on the absorptive capacity, and some considerations for future research on the construct are introduced. The lack of studies on the diversity in the external knowledge, and the lack of a consistent and accumulative literature on the topic emphasize among the main limitations in the study of the absorptive capacity.

El artículo pretende contribuir a la literatura sobre la capacidad de absorción. Más concretamente, se introducen algunas limitaciones que se han encontrado en la literatura existente sobre la capacidad de absorción, y algunas consideraciones para futuras investigaciones sobre el constructo. Entre las limitaciones principales en el estudio de la capacidad de absorción destacan la falta de estudios sobre la diversidad en el conocimiento externo que se quiere adquirir, y la falta de una literatura consistente y acumulativa sobre el tema.
