Due to the Customs Union, Turkish Industry was opened to international competition and SME’s come across with restriction and adaptation problems. For this reason, policies and strategies should be determined for developing the competition power of SME’s. Besides, SME’s should follow the technological development, transfer the technology,make research-development and give importance to quality for improving their competition power, too.To achieve all these, sufficient supports should be supplied to SME’s and the results should be observed. In this study; the relationships between supports and the performances (product quality, product innovation and profitability) of SME’s and the impact of these supports on the performance are investigated. In this survey 275 SME’s with a rangeof 10 to 250 employees were investigated in Ankara and Konya. The results are discussed statistically upon the findings and analysis obtained from the SPSS 11.0 program.

Gümrük Birliği ile birlikte Türk Sanayii uluslararası rekabete açıldığından kobiler çok önemli darboğaz ve uyum sorunlarıyla karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Bu nedenle kobilerin rekabet güçlerini geliştirmeye yönelik politika ve stratejiler belirlenmelidir. Bununla birlikte, kobiler rekabet güçlerini geliştirmek için teknolojik gelişmeleri izlemeli, teknoloji transfer etmeli, araştırma-geliştirme yapmalı ve kaliteye önem vermelidir. Bütün bunları başarmak için kobilere gerekli destek sağlanmalı ve sonuçları izlenmelidir. Bu araştırmada; destekler ve kobilerin performansları (ürün kalitesi, ürün yeniliği ve kârlılık) arasındaki ilişkiler ve bu desteklerin faaliyet sonuçları üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Yapılan bu çalışmada Konya ve Ankara’da faaliyet gösteren ve 10 ile 250 kişi arasında çalışanı bulunan 275 kobi araştırılmıştır. SPSS 11.0 programından elde edilen analiz ve bulgular üzerindeki sonuçlar istatistiksel olarak ele alınmışve değerlendirilmiştir.
