A case of brucellosis with cutaneous manifestations. A case of brucellosis with cutaneous manifestations is presented. A female patient, aged 34 years whose first symptom had been severe lower back pain, later on developed fever, migratory joint pains and swellings and a nunı-ber of subcutaneous nodules around eIbows and ankles. She has been diagnosed acule rheuma-tic fever and was given corticosteroid thcraphy. FolIowing two weeks of this thcraphy, she was found to be unresponsive to corticosteroid treatment. A new set of laboralory work-up showed a positive blood culture for Brucella melitensis. Jn accordance with this findings, she has been put on an antibiotic treatment following which she has completely recovered. Subeutanous-nodules-mimieking-rheumatie-nodules- or-er-ythema-nodosumfound tobeworth-reporting this case.

Deri belirtileri gösteren bir bruselloz vakası takdim edildi. İlk başlayan şikayeti şiddetli bel ağrısı olan ve bu nedenle diskopati tedavisi gören 34 yaşındaki bir kadın hastada daha sonra ateş, gezici eklem ağrıları vc eklem şişlikleri ile bilekler ve dirsekler çevresinde derialtı nodiilleri ortaya çıkmış. Akut romatizmal ateş tanısıyla verilen kortikosteroid tedavisine cevapsız kalan hastanın yapılan laboratuar incelemelerinde Brucella melitensis üretildi. Antibiotik tedavisine başlandıktan altı hafta sonra bütün şikayatleri kayboldu. Vak'a, romatoid nodüllerİ veya eritema nodosum'u taklideden derialtı nodülleri nedeniyle yayınlanmaya değer bulundu.
