Abstract (2. Language):
Distribution of HLA-C alleles in Tıırkey. The most polymorphic region of the human genome is the majör histocompatibility complex (MHC). The allelic frequencies of genes within MHC show remarkable differences between different ethnic groups. With the advances in the methods, the dif-ferences are detected more precisely. The pattern of the allelic distribution in different HLA loci is investigated around the woıid, to complete a HLA map. The aim of this study was to investigate the HLA-C distribution in the population of Turkey at the gene level by using recently developed methods. The DNA samples of 153 unrelated Turkish indi-viduals are investigated by polymerase chain reaction and sequence specific oligonucleotide hybri-dizations. Using this method HLA-C region is evaluated. The most frequently detected alleles at HLA-C locus were Cw*04 (0,176), *0701/5 (0,114), *0202 (0,111), *0602 (0,082), *0702 (0,075) and *0102/3 (0,068). The study has provided a pattern of distribution of HLA-C alleles in the population of Turkey. The distribution of alleles has shown common features with other Mediteranean populations.
Abstract (Original Language):
İnsan genomunun en değişken bölgesini majör histokompatibilite kompleksi (MHC) oluşturmaktadır. MHC de yer alan genlerin gen frekansları, farklı etnik gruplarda farklı dağılım özellikleri göstermektedir. Türkiye popülasyonundaki HLA-C dağılımını gen düzeyinde araştırmayı amaçlayan bu çalışmada toplam 153 kişiden toplanan DNA örneklerinde HLA-C incelenmiş, yöntem olarak polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (PZR) ve diziye özgü oligonükleotitlerle hibridizasyon (DÖOH) uygulanmıştır. HLA-C lokusunda en sık rastlanan aleller Cw*04 (0,176), *0701/5 (0,114), *0202 (0,111), *0602 (0,082), *0702 (0,075) ve *0102/3 (0,068) dir. Çalışmada Türkiye popülasyonunda serolojik olarak değerlendirilemeyen HLA-C'nin dağılım özellikleri belirlenmiş, Türkiye'deki dağılım komşu ve diğer dünya popülasyonları ile karşılaştırılmış-tır. Dağılım özellikleri açısından Türkiye diğer Akdeniz ülkeleri ile yakın özellikler göstermiştir
