Abstract (2. Language):
SUMMARY The investigation of HLA data in autistic population and its relation to clinical symptoms. In this study HLA class I and class II antigens are investigated using serological method (Teresaki microlymphocytotoxicite) of 92 cases diagnosed as autistic disorder according to DSM-IV, betvveen 3 and 15 years old, and 195 healthy cases in the control group; the relation of clinical syptoms, signs and history based some characteristic situations. It is aimed to obtain of our autistic population's datas (HLA haplotypes, known to show variation according to ethnic and geographical differences) and to find HLA haplotypes relation to the autism's immunoetiopat-hogenesis. When the work and control groups are compared according to HLA class I and class II DR group antigens, the highest relative risk is found to be 4.5 for HLA-B57. The se-cond more frequent antigen is HLA-DR 14. It's relative risk is found 4.1.HLA-DR-14 is found to be associated only with self destructive behaviour (p=0.0006). The speculation that HLA-DR-14 may be associated with self sensation, self recognition and autism process may cali at-tention. The relative risk of HLA-B7 is found 3.4.Also HLA-B7' s association with maternal bleeding is meaningful (p=0.03). HLA antigens and some clinical parameters are found to be associated as follows; HLA-DR4 with emotional reactivity, hyperactivity (p=0.002), HLA-A3 with otitis media history (p=0.004), HLA-B44, HLA-B7 with maternal bleeding (p=0.03), HLA-DR1 with rheumatic characteristics of mother (p=0.04), HLA-DR14 with self destructive behaviour(p=0.0006). Our findings are seemed to reflect autism's heterogenous nature.
