Abstract (2. Language):
Renal artery resisfive index in healthy Turkish children. The aim of fhis study is to determine the renal artery resistive index (RI) values in healthy Turkish children and to develop referen-ce values. 147 children, 71 girls and 76 boys, aged between 2 days -14 years were included in the study. The cases were divided into 8 different age groups. Differences and contralateral measure-ments betvveen boys and girls, left and right kidney and various age groups were analysed. No discrepancy between boys-girls and left-right kidney RI values was determined. İt was noti-ced, that RI values decreased with increasing age and that RI values of children above the age of 10 years (RI mean ± SD: 61.5+3.4) reached adults values. Since different researches suggest varying reference values, we propose that every pediatric centre develop their own reference values
