The fjrst îlırec diseascs that are among the general mortality reasons in Turkey arc chronic dis-eases such as heart diseases, cancers and cerebrovascular diseases. The early diagnosis is of great importance for thc coııtrol of liıese diseases in the society. The study aİmed to measurc the level of knovvlcdge of Medicai Faculty 41" Grade students about the early diagnosis meth-ods of ehronic diseases. Knowledge level of students wcre tested by means of pre- and post-training interview forms and evaluated with frequency and percentage rates of responses. Comparisons were cxecuted with Mc Nemar Chi Square Test and WiIcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The average points of the students before the education was 1.17±I,6 while it is 6.05+2.36 af ter the education. It is noted that there is a significant rise in average after the education when compared lo the one before thc education (z - İ 1.847, p< 0.001). The knowlcdge of 4th grade medicai students about early diagnosis methods of ehronic diseases inerease after pubüc health lesson.
