Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of APF gels on plaque accumulation and plaque microorganisms. 8 healthy children ranging in age from 6 to 7 and having their first permanent molars erupted and whithout any caries or fillings, volunteered for this study. Before APF gel application and in one week and one month intervals after application on their one upper and lower quadrans, their PI scores and CFU values in saliva and in plaque were measured. The differences in PI scores after APF gel application were statistically significant, but differences in CFU counts in different controls were not statistically significant.
