Thepostdam area, a mechanical factor affecting the retention of the upper complete dentutj, is deZmined according to the postZor extension of the denture. In this study, the posterior intension of the denture was determined İn 99 specimens and the distance of the fovea palatinea to the vibrating line, ihe resilience of the medlİne and the width of the postdam area was statistically evaluated based on die clinical findings.

Üst tam protezlerin tutuculuğunu etkileyen mekanik faktörlerden postdam alanı, protezin bitiş çizgisine göre belirlenir. Bitiş çizgisini belirlemek için ise titreşim çizgisini belirlemek gerekir. Bu araştırmada 99 hastada protezin bitiş çizgisi (titreşim çizgisi) belirlenmiş aynı zamanda f ovea'ların titreşim çizgisine uzaklığı, orta hattaki basbrılabilirlik ve postdam alanının genişliği klinik verilere dayanarak istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiştir.
