This paper presents tiw results of the orthodontic treatment and a follow up period qfthreeyears in a patient with secondary malocclusion due to adult periodontitis. The oral hygiene instructions were accompanied by scaling, root planing and subgingival curettage. The orthodontic treatment included the application of upper and lower edgewise appliances. For retention, a Hawley appliance on the upper jaw and a dead wire and lingual pads in the lower [aw were used. The results of the orthodontic treament were stabilized for three years

Bu makalede erişkin periodontitis; nedeni ile sekonder maloklüzyon oluşmuş bir hastada ortodontik tedavi ve ortodontik tedaviden üç yıl sonraki sonuçlar sunulmuştur. Ortodontik tedavi öncesinde diş taşı temizliği, kök yüzeyi düzleştirmesi ve subgingival küretaj yapılan hastaya, edgewise mekaniği ile ortodontik tedavi yapılmıştın Pekişme amacı ile üst çenede Hawley plağı, alt çenede lingual pad'ler ve ölü tel'den oluşan retainer uygulanımştır. Ortodontik tedavi ileeldeedilensonuçla¬ rın tedaviden üç yıl sonra da korunduğu izlenmektedir.
