Abstract (2. Language):
Mast celts, by releasing various chemical material affecting material affecting Hie vessels and connective tissue cells, play an important rok İn different physiological and pathological events, like allergic reactions, inflammation and wound heating. In the present study, the amount and the localization of the mast cells İn certain oral lesions, as inflammatory fibrous hyperplasia, irritationfibroma, peripheral fibroma, granuloma pyogenicum, hemangioma and peripheral giant cell granuloma were investigated. Findings were compared and discussed with reference to tiiose of the literature. Mast cells were generally observed in mild intensity and they were localized witliin the connective tissue and subepithelial region. In oral lesions most of the mast cells were found to be related to fibrous tissue formation. Mucosal type of mast cells, which were localized in close relation to the epitiielium were tlioueht to have a role in the nutrition oftiie traumatic epithelium

Değişik kimyasal maddeler salgılayarak damarlar ve bağ dokusu hücrelerini etkileyen mast hücreleri, aller-jik reaksiyonlar, iltihap, yara iyileşmesi gibi çeşitli fizyolojik ve patolojik olaylarda rol oynarlar. Bu çalışmada İltihapsal fibröz hiperplazi, ir it as yon fibromu, peri-ferik fibrom, piyojenik Rranülom, hemaniiom ve peri-ferik dev hücreli reparatif granîilom tanısı konmuş ağız lezyonlarnıda mast hücrelerinin yoğunluk ve loka- karşılaştırılarak tartışılmıştır^Uız içindeki lezvonlar da mast hücrelerininSSkleS™Sîukto rfriÜ lokahze olduğu gözlenmiştir. Ağız lezyonlannda maşt hücrelerinin Çoğunlukla bag dokusu içinde kollagen lif yapımı ile üışkıh olduğu, eprtel altında görülen mukoza! tipteki mast hücrelerinin ise travmaya uğramış epı-telın beslenmes, ile ıhşkdı olabdecegı sonucuna varıl¬mıştır.
