Proper orientation of the maxillary cast on articulator is very important. Improper orientation of the maxillary cast on articulator cause some problems related to esthetic location-inclination of occlusal plane. Investigators report, after face-bow registration, that variations of craniofacial skeletal pattern in ethnic groups cause problems in mounting of maxillary cast on articulator. Differences of maxillary height-depth and orbitale-maxillary incisal edge distance may be effective factors in this problems. In our study, maxillary depth height and orbitale-maxillary incisal edge distance values is measured by using lateral cephalometric radiographs and compared with other ethnic groups.

Artikülatörde üst modelin doğru yerleşiminin önemi büyüktür. Üst modelin artikülatörde yanlış konumlanması estetik ve oklüzal düzlemin yeri ve eğimiyle ilgili sorunlara neden olmaktadır. Araştırmacılar, etnik farklılıkların yüz arkı kaydından sonra üst çene modelinin artikülatöre yerleştirilmesinde sorunlara neden olduğunu bildirmekte ve üst yüz derinliği, yüksekliği ve Orbita-Kesici Kenar uzunluğu farkhhkların.n bu sorunların ortaya çıkmasında etkili olabileceğini bildirmektedirler. Çalışmamızda; 25 kız, 25 erkek, 50 Türk bireyde üst yüz derinliği, yüksekliği ve Orbita-Kesici Kenar uzaklığı değerleri lateral sefalometrik röntgen bulguları yardımıyla ölçülerek, diğer toplum bireyleriyle karşılaştı-rılmıştır.
